SILVERROOKIE CRITERIUM
Malaysian based fixed community Versussika Fixed has been organizing various crit events for several years and their intention mainly focuses on nurturing and finding the next star in fixed gear criterium. The Silverrookie Criterium is a platform for many local young riders to proof their ability against others in an open street criterium but under a controlled environment.
The criterium is generally divided into 2 categories one being under-18 years and the other Open category. The criterium is generally held in Ipoh where the community is based and because of it's popularity over the years, the event attracts riders from KL and other states to participate in this boutique styled criterium.
The criterium is normally held once every quarter of the year and it can be a great platform for new riders to ride with the more experience riders to measure where they stand and further improve their technique before the next race is held.
Over the years we have seen Team Yellow Bike Company (YBC) features some of their most talented riders in this criterium. As the criterium progresses over the years, the event has seen many new comers who gave the more experienced riders a run for their money.
